HOW WE HELP
Three ways to keep care safe and consistent.
Staffing
Reliable cover, temporary or permanent.

Keep care staff trained, compliant and engaged.
Keep good carers for longer, with the training, development and recognition that make them want to stay.
Trained staff, lower turnoverPathways
Routes into care for people out of work, closing the vacancy gap.
Funded routes into care for young people and adults returning to work, with selection, training, work experience and a first placement. Higher completion, and first jobs that stick.

Care providers and groups
Keep your services safely staffed.
A staffing and development partner that backs providers with what they need. Compliant carers, the right staffing model for the role, and the stability that comes from carers who know the work first-hand.
- Temporary staffing · compliant cover when shifts open
- Permanent recruitment · long-term hires that stay

COMMISSIONERS
Stable care teams, across your area.
Stability across the care you commission, with practice that holds up under scrutiny: fair pay, direct employment, audit-ready evidence. Plus visibility across providers so issues surface before they escalate.

WHY CARE STAFF CHOOSE WAC
A care employer who knows you.
Fair pay, transparent rates, and a coordinator who remembers your name. A real career path in care, with training that goes beyond the mandatory baseline.
Why we exist
It began with one family’s experience of care.
We Are Care was built by people who are close to care and see how undervalued the people involved in care are. We’re a social enterprise, and that shapes everything we do.
Our mission is to improve care across the UK, starting with the people who provide it.
Three things drive us: improving staffing through fair pay and better recognition; training, development and support so people stay and build a career; and bringing new people into the sector to close the vacancy gap. Human-led AI supports all three, across compliance, risk and everyday tasks.
Operators, not consultants.
How we operate
What guides us
Long-term strategic partnerships are how we work best. Short-term engagements are often where those start. The deeper the partnership, the more we can improve daily care together and reshape it structurally over time.
Care improves when the whole chain works together. Carers, providers, commissioners and funders each hold distinct roles. The closer those roles connect, the better the result.
We start with the person receiving care, and work back from there, from small improvements to structural change across staffing, retention, pathways and Baton.
